You Can’t Manage People Without Feeling Their Hearts

Human resource management (HRM) assists businesses in becoming productive and managing people in an organized manner. HRM has been built on the foundation of personnel management. In today’s corporate landscape, aligning HR practices with company strategy is increasingly beneficial. When it comes to best HR practices for workplace culture, it means something different from traditional definitions. A place where people genuinely desire to work because they have a sense of purpose, are welcome to differing viewpoints, and have the freedom to enjoy their lives outside of work.

I thought I would share 5 facts from our best HR practices to improve workplace productivity with you.

1 – Appreciate It Whenever Possible

Everyone likes appreciation, so why not employees? Every time they perform well, not only in projects but sometimes in extracurricular activities, we can appreciate them. It is good to consider more significant rewards when deserved. Employees who feel appreciated are more likely to put in a lot of effort and stay with the organization. This boosts employee engagement and retention.

2 – Flexibility

You can create a happy workplace by encouraging work-life balance. Always try to get into employees’ shoes and understand their situation. Counting leaves may be a hazard for management, but if you let them take leaves whenever possible by adjusting timelines and being flexible when needed, surprise! Your leave count will go low. Especially in the IT field, a stress-free environment increases productivity. We can have many processes, but remember that we are working with people, not machines. Flexibility is key to maintaining employee satisfaction and reducing burnout.

3 – Inspiration and Motivation

Could you give them a purpose to work? Always try to provide a clear goal for their work. Motivate your people to get their job done well. Not only in work life, try to motivate them to complete their academic path. Arrange sessions to talk with them face to face. If you notice low performance, don’t be quick to fire; try to stimulate their mind in an attractive way to get them back on track. This is a proven employee motivation strategy that fosters growth and development.

4 – Let Them Fail

Do not try to micromanage. Show your trust in employees. Give them more responsibilities and a chance to rise to the challenge. Employees become anxious if micromanaged and watched over at every turn. Your staff won’t provide their best work if you are hesitant to try new things. Giving more freedom and accountability encourages innovation and enhances team performance.

 5 – Feedback

If you approach it correctly, giving employees constructive criticism will help them develop and perform better in the future. To assist the employee in maintaining face, be diplomatic and conduct the talk privately if critical. Consider it a learning opportunity rather than criticism. Be generous with praise and encouragement daily and during formal annual performance reviews. Effective feedback is one of the best HR tools to boost employee development and satisfaction.
